Health Insurance accepted
Sunshine Traditional Chinese Acupuncture accepts HealthPartners, Medica, UnitedHealthcare, PreferredOne, and Cigna as an in-network provider.
We are also in-network with the VA Community Care program (see below for more information on Veterans Choice and instructions on how to schedule an appointment with us through Veterans Choice).
Coverage for acupuncture can vary by insurer and by plan.
Don't see your health insurer? More insurers coming soon!
Your insurance plan doesn't cover acupuncture? Self-pay also welcome (discount plans available).
When you schedule an appointment (715-629-2108) the receptionist will ask you for details about your health insurance to check your plan's coverage.
If you wish to call your health insurance provider the following questions below are important to ask to see if you are covered for acupuncture treatment, ailments covered, and extent of treatment covered.
Ask your Health Insurer:
Is acupuncture covered by your plan?
What health conditions does your plan allow to be treated?
Are there exclusions for the treatment of certain health conditions in your plan?
Has your deductible been met? Does your deductible apply to acupuncture? Is coinsurance due once the deductible is met?
Do you have a copay?
Is a doctor's referral for acupuncture treatment needed for your plan?
How many acupuncture treatment sessions are covered by your plan?
Confused by some of these terms. Click here for a handy guide explaining copays, coinsurance, deductible, and other health insurance terms.

VA Community Care (VACCN)
Before scheduling an appointment with Sunshine Traditional Chinese Acupuncture the veteran must call their local VA facility to verify program eligibility and request an appointment.
Before you can be treated at our clinic we must receive the Provider Notification Packet containing your medical details from the VA. If the VA asks you where to send materials you can give them Sunshine Traditional Chinese Acupuncture's fax number (651-342-0025) or physical address for mailing: Sunshine Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, 116 Chestnut St. E., Stillwater, MN 55082.
Once we have received the Provider Notification Packet we can schedule you for treatment.
